I have just uploaded a photo of one of our holidays with school to Butlins. The one thing that always remains so clear in my mind about that holiday was your determination. At the time you still had a wheelchair to use if you needed it but you were absolutely determined it wouldn't get used. We used to pile all our bags on it and wheel it around Bognor Regis blaring out Take That on our walkmans. We all felt so grown up on that holiday and I suppose it really was our first taste of freedom. I am so glad I shared it with you. Hey, remember that mexican hat thing we went on over, and over and over again ... I went on it so much I couldn't sleep because of the motion sickness. I also remember we had to share a chalet with Miss Pass - what a bore! She couldn't stand any noise and kept coming into the bedroom and warning us to turn it down .. it was only coming through the walkman! Remember how me and cath used to do those silly little curls at the front of our hair and then weld them with hairspray - you were far more sensible opting out of this stupid craze!! Love you Fliss, you will always be in my heart, and it is SO TRUE that the good die young xxx
